First Ferry!!!!

FINALLY!!! It's the "slow boat" and they're taking the long route around the north side of the Island, but we have ferries again. It's been just about the only topic of conversation for the past couple weeks, and people had been getting very antsy, but life just got so much easier!

The geese are not impressed.

And not everything is running yet, the rudder of the barge is still under ice (but not much)

There will be lots of freight moving in the next few weeks, prepping for the beginning of the season and soon the horses will start to return also - I'll be watching for them.
